Settings

The Settings page is used to define general functions of the AOMweb, such as display options for the search results and the articles, the data used for alerts via e-mail or text message, or usage information.

To access the Settings, click the symbol at the top right edge of the screen. From the sub menu, choose Settings.

Change password

Password Enter your current password.
New password Enter your new password.
Confirm new password Enter your new password again. This way you ensure that your new password contains no typing mistakes.

Search

Allow searches for '#', '@', '&' and '+'

By default, the characters '#', '@', '&' and '+' are treated as non-searchable characters in AOMweb searches. Therefore they cannot be used in connection with search terms.

Activate the Allow search for characters '#', '@', '&' and '+’ checkbox to use these characters actively in your search terms.

Hit list

Hits per page From the dropdown list, choose how many hits per page you want to display. You can choose a value between 10 and 100 hits. By default, 20 hits are displayed on one page.
Display mode of new results

From the Display mode of new results dropdown list, choose how you want to display the list of search results after a new search.

Choose one of the following:

List: After a new search, the list of search results is always displayed in the form of a list, regardless of whether it was displayed as a list or as a gallery at your last search.

Remember last selection: At a new search, the list of results is displayed in the form you used at your last search.

Article text

Text format

From the Text format dropdown list, choose how you want to display individual articles in their full article text.

HTML: The content of articles is displayed in the format HTML. This is the default setting.

Rich text: The content of the articles is displayed as formatted rich text with highlighting of the search terms.

Structured plain text: The content of articles is displayed according to the fields of the database.

E-Mail and SMS for subscription and forgotten password

E-mail address

Enter the E-mail address where you want to receive the articles corresponding to your e-mail alerts.

This address is also used if you have forgotten your password and request to have it set back. In this case, you will receive a link to set the new password.
Mobile telephone number Enter the Mobile telephone number where you want to receive information via SMS regarding your SMS alerts.

Usage information

The Usage information gives an overview of the costs of searches and viewed articles.
Display connect time Activate the Display connect time to include the duration of connection in your evaluation of usage data.
Use cost centers

By using cost centers, all activities carried out with the selected cost center are booked on it.

To use this function, activate the Use cost centers checkbox.

Cost centers are evaluated in the usage information.

Login

Remember login

This field is only displayed if you have activated the Automatically log in on this computer checkbox at your last login to the AOMweb.

To cancel this behaviour, deactivate the Remember login checkbox.
Automatically end old session

This field is only displayed if you have activated the Always end an existing session checkbox in a different browser or on another computer.

To cancel this behaviour, deactivate the Automatically end old session checkbox.

Language

Preferred language From the Preferred language dropdown list, choose whether you want to use the AOMweb in English or German.

Buttons

Cancel Click cancel to discard your changes.
Save Click save to take over your changes.
